The CF flange system is designed for use in all vacuum applications but is especially suited to conditions requiring ultra-high vacuum, very clean environments, high temperatures or the containment of toxic, corrosive or radioactive gases. This flange system will operate from atmosphere to 1 x 10-13 ton and from -196C to 500°C.
Each flange face is identical and contains a knife-edge. When the bolts tighten these flanges together with a copper gasket between them, the knifed edge is forced into the copper creating an annular groove in the gasket that is capable of withstanding high pressures or temperatures.
Manufactured to industry standards, sizes from 1.33" OD to 16.5" OD (accommodating tube sizes from ΒΌ" to 14") are offered in either rotatable or non-rotatable, with through holes or taped holes, and in a wide array of configurations of components that facilitates easy design, assembly and system flexibility. Many accessories (bolt kits, wrenches, anti-seizure lubricant, etc) are available for all sizes.
